Abundance & absence exist in the same country.
Food is carefully chosen, generously served and sometimes left unfinished.
A full meal can be the most anticipated part of a child's month.
A meal can feel
ordinary
Until it is
missing.
Share A Meal uses Foodlink's culinary strength and operating experience to serve fresh, nutritious food to children and communities that remain outside reliable meal support.
The scale of this challenge cannot be answered by one organisation or one programme, however it is one contribution within our reach.
One organisation cannot solve a national crisis.
It can take responsibility for the
part within its reach.
To provide fresh, nutritious meals to children and communities with limited access to dependable support.
To build a transparent, repeatable model that grows through Foodlink's infrastructure while protecting quality, dignity and accountability.
Every number begins with a child,
a meal, and a moment of care.
This is how that care adds up.
Foodlink provides the capability.
Share A Meal gives that capability another purpose.
Building beyond the moment, with the future in mind.
Trust is built by returning. Through planned menus, set schedules and dependable execution, Share A Meal is designed to serve with regularity, not occasionally.
Every quantity, cost and distribution is recorded. This allows the programme to make informed decisions, plan responsibly and grow on the strength of clear numbers.
Share A Meal is being developed within Foodlink, an organisation that already understands scale, operations and long-term service. This gives the programme the structure to grow without losing consistency or control.
Strong relationships with schools, hospitals and community organisations help the programme understand real needs and respond more effectively.
The idea began with awareness.
Its next chapter is built through leadership.
Share A Meal began in 2022, when Ayanna Vazirani was still in her early teens. Growing up around Foodlink, she had seen food at its most elaborate. She had also grown aware of children for whom food meant something far more basic.
Her role is not symbolic.
She is helping shape how the programme operates, records its work and grows without losing discipline.
Today, at 16, Ayanna is giving Share A Meal a stronger operating structure, moving from individual distributions to a model built on documented costs, recurring calendars, institutional partnerships and public reporting.
Beyond the initiative,
a personal commitment
"Giving once is easy, and it matters. What I want to build is not a moment of generosity, but a promise that holds."
— Ayanna Vazirani

Every drive, recorded as it happened: the date, the location, the number of meals, the menu served and the organisation that received it.
Say hello. The rest can follow.
